Locust Hill Log Cabin

The log cabin lodge is an original fixture on the preserve that was built in 1866. The cabin overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and it is not uncommon to see bald eagles fishing in the pond below the front porch.

An addition was added sometime in the 1920s which included putting in a kitchen and another full bathroom. We recently restored the hunting cabin in 2004 to include all the amenities one would expect in a first class hunting resort while keeping the original rustic appeal the cabin has to offer.

With 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms the log cabin will comfortably sleep four hunters. The open kitchen is a great place to cook up meals after a long day out on the preserve. The cabin has a washer and dryer for use and a wrap around porch to relax on while the sun sets over the mountains.

The log cabin is available for rent during the off season so please inquire about rental rates by clicking on the "Contact Us" page.

The Cottage at Locust Hill

The cottage is fully a furnished 3 bedroom and 2 bath house which has a great screened in porch that overlooks the woods to relax after a long day of hunting. The open floor plan of the cottage makes it extremely relaxing. The cottage does have a washer and dryer for use to wash your clothes between hunts. Another feature of the cottage is it has a full basement for you to store all your hunting equipment in to keep your clothes as scent free as possible.
